Home > Charles C. Richards House B&B
Region: Nova Scotia
Town: Yarmouth
Charles C. Richards House was built in 1893. Most of the materials used -- brownstone, granite, quarterson oak and brick were imported from the United States and makes this house unique for Yarmouth's architecture.
The most impressive feature of this home is its elaborate carved oak staircase. This tower room is 40 feet high and elegantly lit by stained glass windows. Another dramatic feature is the use of Pennsylvania Cherry woodwork in the parlor, library and conservatory.
