Adams House is one of very few Canada Select 4.5 star B&Bs in Newfoundland, nestled in the beautiful Humber Valley on the western coast of the province, just 10 minutes east of Corner Brook. Although only six years old, great effort has been expended in decorating in order to portray a colonial-style bed and breakfsat in a country setting. We feature elegant guestrooms with en suite bathrooms, and an abundance of antiques and local artwork is displayed throughout. Adams House features hardwood flooring, and a no-pets, nonsmoking environment for those patrons desiring high levels of cleanliness.
Enjoy fresh flowers, beverage/snack, and chocolates. Liquor-licensed dining is available for those who prefer to sample sumptuous Newfoundland fare at Adams House, (with sufficient notice). For those staying multiple nights, take a luscious, complimentary picnic lunch on your tours. Our honeymoon suite features a canopy bed and wood-burning fireplace. For those desiring to maintain intimacy the next morning, we will serve breakfast in this room!
All rooms are resplendent in Newfoundland antiques, Sir Wilfred Grenfell historia, and local artwork. Each bathroom is exquisitely appointed in brass fixtures, ceramic floors, heat lights, and elegant toiletries. Satellite TVs, DVD players, and individually-controlled air conditioning is contained in each room.
The Humber Valley offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Adjacent to the B&B is Humber River, world-renowned for salmon fishing. Kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor activities are a must-do in the valley. Gros Morne National Park, a world heritage site, is a short 45-minute hop away. Enjoy the best skiing east of the Laurentians at Marble Mountain Ski Resort, just 6 minutes west. For those golfers desiring excellent courses, 2 courses are within close proximity, and a champioship one right across the river will be opening Spring 2004!. One of our specialties is offering guided snowmobile tours on both groomed trails and virgin snow. For those wishing to enjoy Newfoundland's panorama in warmer weather, enjoy our phenomenal all-terrain vehicle excursions. We would be pleased to custom-design a ski, snowmobile, or fishing package for you, or assist in planning your itinerary by making reservations at local attractions.
